The Henn Na Hotel or “Strange Hotel” in Japan gained world recognition when the Guinness Book of World Records awarded it with the title of being the “World’s First Robot Hotel” back when it opened in 2015. Unfortunately, Henn Na’s management has had to “fire” more than half of its 243 robot staff, as their outdated programming and AI has been creating more problems than solving them.

The robot hotel was established in the hope that its automated staff could fill the labor shortage in the area by taking over menial tasks like handling reservations, guest queries and stirring cocktails.
