Valve Corporation, the company behind direct-to-drive PC games vendor Steam, will soon roll out a new “recommendation engine” that will suggest video games that suit customers’ individual tastes.

While there already is a function on Steam that “curates” a Steam user’s choices, the company will take it a step further by applying machine learning to use more relevant data (like the user’s purchase history), for a more accurate algorithm which can make better, more targeted recommendations to users of the online store. They’ll also be rolling out a new events and anti-cheat system for Steam users.
