In just the past couple of years, we’ve seen an exponential growth in AI, and it’s become more prevalent in all sorts of companies and industries, from small tech startups to heavy industries. One such company, Royal Dutch Shell, is taking advantages of advances in AI.

The oil and natural gas giant is going full speed ahead in applying AI to make a long list tasks safer, more efficient and ensure their practices remain environment-friendly. This includes making drilling for natural gas safer and more precise, “smoothing” motorists’ transition from gas to electric cars, and even using AI-controlled cameras to check that no one dangerously lights a cigarette at any gas stations.
