Taking the human out of human resources? It used to be that employee recruitment was exclusively the domain of HR. Online job search app ZipRecruiter is exploring the use of AI and deep learning to find candidates whose skills don’t necessarily match with their job searches.

One dilemma that employers face is the crude method by which search engines and recruiting websites pool and select prospective candidates for company positions – that is, simply by searching for keywords on resumes, then deciding whether they matched words on job descriptions.

The company will utilize Eightfold, an AI “Talent Intelligence Platform”, to analyze candidates’ skills and experiences and match them with specific job openings, even if they come from a different field. Read more about this development in talent pooling and hiring here:
