Digital customer experience platform Conversocial has recently acquired Assist, an automated messaging platform.

Through this acquisition, Conversocial claims it can now offer enhanced sales, marketing and customer service activities with more dynamic customer interactions through smooth integration of chatbots and human agents. This is achieved by combining Assist’s next-gen chatbots with Conversocial’s new service channels.

Conversocial CEO Joshua March shared that their clients have seen a significant increase in the volume of conversations on their messaging channels in just the past few years. March also went on to claim that the acquisition and ensuing combination of human interaction with automated messaging will “make connecting with a business as easy as messaging a friend.”

As part of Assist’s acquisition, its CEO Shane Mac will be assigned as Conversocial’s Chief Automation Officer, and Conversocial will absorb all of Assist’s current staff. Conversocial and Assist count many Fortune 500 companies and brands in a variety of industries, ranging from retail, hospitality, automotive and e-commerce brands. Some of their clients include Google, Sephora, Tostitos and Audi.
